Little swimmers

Today we took the babies swimming. I was hoping to get a video of them laughing at each other, but it didn't work out. We had them "swimming" towards each other, and as they would get close to each other they would start laughing. It was so funny. Of course when I gave Gavin to Daddy so that I could get a video of them laughing, they stopped... so this will have to do. Enjoy our little swimmers!

My military crawler

Today Madaleine has figured out how to do the military crawl! She will only do it if there is something that she REALLY wants in front of her... like the remotes. It's so funny to see her scoot around all over the place. I'm sure that Gavin is not to far behind her! Keep me in your prayers! :)

Just some odds and ins

If you click on the picture to enlarge it, you can see Gavin's first TWO teeth! That's right... two for Gavin, zero for Maddie (for now!)

Peek-a-boo Mommy!

This is why I can't have the tv on a lot of the times... Maddie will sit there and watch it! This is her glued to The Wiggles.

Gavin getting ready to go swimming

This is Madaleine after waking up from a nap. She has gotten into the habit of sleeping on her tummy with her hands under her face... so every time she wakes up she has hand prints on her cute little face. It is hilarious.

Here they were on the Fourth of July... so cute

Here is Maddie having an afternoon snack... Gavin's foot. Do you see all that slobber on his leg and foot? Gavin is such a good sport!

Here they are wearing the outfits that Uncle Mikey and Aunt Jamie got them.

Maddie: "I'm a super star!"
Gavin: "Let me lift these shades up a little to get a better look at you."

I was having a bad day a few weeks ago. Len had gone out to mow, and when he came in he told me that every time he went outside to mow the lawn that he was telling me he loved me. I didn't know what he was talking about and I really didn't think much of it. Then he told me he had something to show me. We walked out to the backyard, and this is a picture of what I saw. He had mowed the grass into a huge heart. He told me that he was sorry that I was having a bad day, and that if the next day were bad as well, all I would have to do is look outside and then I would know that he was thinking about me and loving me. He sweet (and cheesy) is that! He kept that heart there for 2 weeks. Awwwww! :)

Here is what's new in our life

Well, I can't believe it... I am seeing teeth! And guess which baby it is?? Gavin! That's right... he's finally doing something before his younger sister does it first. Maddie has been ahead of him developmentally, so it was a surprise to see that Gavin is the one who gets to claim teeth first. I think Gavin getting teeth is his defense mechanism... his sister is constantly picking at him and plowing him over... now he has a tooth to use in his defense (not that I support that in any way! :)

I can hardly believe that they will be SEVEN months old in a few days! Where has all the time gone? They are getting so big. Maddie is now sitting up all by herself and is moving everywhere on the floor (still not crawling, but scooting and rolling to get to a new place constantly!) Gavin can sit up by himself for a little while, but will still topple over frequently. He is also moving everywhere around the floor. I have had to get the play pin out so that I can leave the babies in a safe place if I have to run upstairs for something. They are now eating baby food three times a day... who knew it would be so hard to feed your children that many times in a day! It seems like by the time I feed them, have play time and nap time, it's already time to feed them again! It is really funny because after they finish eating, I keep them in their high chairs while I am washing all of their stuff. They have gotten into the habit of having a screaming/laughing war across the table from each other every time. It's like they feed off of each others excitment and try to see who can be the loudest. I will try to get it on video... it is hilarious! We finally got a second crib... so nice! Maddie has always fought going to sleep, and now that she is in her own crib in her own room, we are able to let her "fight" going to sleep without disturbing Gavin (who is out in minutes! )I have been slacking when it comes to taking pictures... that's why there are hardly any new posts. I will try to be better... but sometimes you know how that goes!

I have to give a huge congratulations to my husband for taking a new job (with the same company) and getting a promotion! He has really worked hard to get to where he is now, and I'm so proud of everything he has done. It's nice that he is getting recognized for all of his hard efforts. Keep up the good work Len... we love you!
