July 4 pics
I know it's a little late, but better late than never right? Since I am having a hard time believing how fast our babies are growing, I was doing a little reminiscing and looking back at some older pictures of the babies. Here they are last year for the fourth...
They grow up WAY WAY to fast! Here are a few from this year... enjoy!
Playing peek-a-boo
They look like a little old married couple... ha!
What a cutie!
And another darn cute cutie!
I don't know what's up with Gavin's crooked smile in all these pictures, but I love it!
I know it's not a politically correct flag cake, but I gave it my best shot people!
This was the first year we took them to go see fireworks. Here is Gavin right when we got there... he was taking it all in. It didn't take long for both babies to start running around like crazy all over the place, so needless to say we didn't get that many pictures there.
Len and I eventually got tired of chasing them around everywhere, so we stuck them back in the stroller and bought them these glow necklaces. They probably kept them entertained for about 2.5 minutes... then it was back to running around...whew!
The fireworks didn't start until 9:30... well past their bedtime, so it was starting to get a little rough. Once they started though, it was complete and utter amazement! Madaleine kept saying "boom" and pointing to the sky. We look forward to next year!

What have they been up to?
So, here's what the babes have been up to these last few months...
Trying to keep cool! Normally we take the kids for a short walk every evening and then go out in the back yard to play before bath and bedtime. Since it's been so hot lately, and I need to water the grass, the kids get to play in the sprinkler... clothes and all. Madaleine LOVES the water. Gavin is interested in it for about 5 seconds and then moves on to the other toys.
Having fun at the splash park!
Learning to drive! Not really. I don't want any of you thinking we would actually be driving with them in the front seat. This is us one day parked out in front of our house while a realtor was showing it to a client.
But I have let them lose in this car at the grocery store... they are some crazy drivers!
Wearing Daddy's shirt and drinking Madaleine's milk. He's just so handsome with those beautiful blue eyes!
Being a goofball with the shoe box on her head!
Playing with all the other big boys with orange shirts on. Can you find Gavin???
Fixing her hair more since it's getting longer. She's so precious with her bows...
And because she is wearing more bows now...
I made her this cute bow holder! Isn't it precious?
Playing in the back yard. I told them they had to share their toys, and this is what they did! So cute.
Climbing... constantly! I did not put Gavin in his chair here... he did that all on his own. He is also fascinated with buckles, so he spent a good 15 minutes up their trying to get the seat belt buckled. He was successful with one of them.
And because he is half monkey and can climb so well, he has put two and two together and now moves the chair to where ever he pleases and then climbs up it to get what he was after. You see him here, after pushing the chair to the counter and climbing up, getting into our realtor's business cards. Oh my.
Loving ketchup! She got that from my Dad!
Learning to dress herself! We just have to work on putting legs in the shorts... not heads!
Going to time out...
... for doing things like this!
Having fun at the library
Wearing the wrong shoes?!?! In an attempt to mad dash it out of the house one day, I noticed (after the fact) that I had put Maddie's shoes on Gavin and Gavin's shoes on Maddie. This is when you know you have to many things going on at once!
Maddie thought it was soooo funny to be wearing his shoes...
Gavin on the other hand wasn't laughing about wearing girl shoes! Ha!
So... to make a long story short, they have just been growing up way to fast these past few months!
