Well, I can't believe it... I am seeing teeth! And guess which baby it is?? Gavin! That's right... he's finally doing something before his younger sister does it first. Maddie has been ahead of him developmentally, so it was a surprise to see that Gavin is the one who gets to claim teeth first. I think Gavin getting teeth is his defense mechanism... his sister is constantly picking at him and plowing him over... now he has a tooth to use in his defense (not that I support that in any way! :)
I can hardly believe that they will be SEVEN months old in a few days! Where has all the time gone? They are getting so big. Maddie is now sitting up all by herself and is moving everywhere on the floor (still not crawling, but scooting and rolling to get to a new place constantly!) Gavin can sit up by himself for a little while, but will still topple over frequently. He is also moving everywhere around the floor. I have had to get the play pin out so that I can leave the babies in a safe place if I have to run upstairs for something. They are now eating baby food three times a day... who knew it would be so hard to feed your children that many times in a day! It seems like by the time I feed them, have play time and nap time, it's already time to feed them again! It is really funny because after they finish eating, I keep them in their high chairs while I am washing all of their stuff. They have gotten into the habit of having a screaming/laughing war across the table from each other every time. It's like they feed off of each others excitment and try to see who can be the loudest. I will try to get it on video... it is hilarious! We finally got a second crib... so nice! Maddie has always fought going to sleep, and now that she is in her own crib in her own room, we are able to let her "fight" going to sleep without disturbing Gavin (who is out in minutes! )I have been slacking when it comes to taking pictures... that's why there are hardly any new posts. I will try to be better... but sometimes you know how that goes!
I have to give a huge congratulations to my husband for taking a new job (with the same company) and getting a promotion! He has really worked hard to get to where he is now, and I'm so proud of everything he has done. It's nice that he is getting recognized for all of his hard efforts. Keep up the good work Len... we love you!
